About Our Pricing

Non-ferrous metals like copper, aluminum, and brass move with the commodity markets and can shift day to day based on global trading. Ferrous prices (iron and steel) are more stable and typically reset at the start of each month. The numbers above reflect where we're at as of April 13, 2026. For the most accurate quote before you load up your truck, call us at (773) 345-8610. We'll give you a straight answer, no runaround. We always pay fair, and we pay cash on the spot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of copper scrap in Chicago this week?

As of April 13, 2026, we're paying $4.50/lb for #2 copper up to $4.70/lb for bare bright. Grades matter: the cleaner and purer the copper, the higher the payout. Not sure what grade yours is? Bring it in or call (773) 345-8610 and we'll help you sort it out.

Do you pay cash for scrap metal?

Yes. We pay cash on the spot for every load, every time. Bring in your copper, aluminum, brass, iron, or stainless steel and walk out with money in your hand the same day.

What is the difference between #1 and #2 copper?

#1 copper is clean, uncoated pipe, bus bar, or clippings with no solder, paint, or fittings attached. #2 copper includes pipe with fittings, lightly oxidized material, or copper with small amounts of coating. #1 always pays more because it requires less processing. When in doubt, we'll grade it honestly when you arrive.
